Would you use a discounted “Bring Your Own AI Key” plan?

CarJourney uses AI to power features like document scanning, vehicle Q&A, and maintenance insights. AI is a real cost — but it's not the only one. Running the app also requires database hosting, file storage, server infrastructure, and ongoing development. These costs exist regardless of who provides the AI.

With that in mind: some apps let users connect their own AI account (like OpenAI) to unlock AI features, while paying a lower subscription fee to the app itself to cover everything else. CarJourney would still need to charge something — just much less — to keep the lights on.
